Cogs and Spaceships

Tomorrow is my last day at Happy Cog.

Almost four years ago, Stan introduced me to Jeffrey, who was looking for a Flash designer to do a quick job for the now-defunct Kansas City Chiefs site. The rest is history. Since then, I’ve had a chance to meet and work with the smartest, coolest, and most wonderful people I could imagine.

For the majority of our lives, Emily and I have lived in and around Philadelphia. It’s time for new adventures. We’re moving to New York, where I’ll be joining Big Spaceship, the company whose work got me interested in web design years ago.

An equally sad but exciting time, I can’t wait to see what the future brings.

Wow, there's a lot of new New Yorkers these days. Congrats on the change, and hopefully this means you'll make a few more trips up to Boston to visit now that you're that much closer.

You and I have worked together through Electronic Ink, Pixelworthy, and now Happy Cog. I will miss your talents, your humor, and your leadership. Our loss is the Spaceship's gain. Congratulations, Danielson.

They don't have developers lunches to El Azteca in New York. Or soda. Or Qdoba. Okay okay, maybe they do. But we'll miss you here. They are lucky to have you! And we'll be checking in to make sure you aren't becoming a Mets fan!

Although we've only worked together for a few months, you've been a big help and a big inspiration. They are going to need a Bigger Spaceship to accommodate such a smart and talented dude. Good luck!

I'm so late to the game with this, but congratulations, man. A brave move, but one I'm sure will be extremely rewarding for all involved. Does this mean we should be seeing some more Flash stuff?

Congrats and good luck!
