What Typeface are You?

FontShop just published their I Am gallery. You’re encouraged to design and upload a 150×150 GIF or JPEG with the subject matter of which typeface embodies you.

So which is it? Why do you feel it captures your essence? I’ll go first: Clarendon does it for me. Originally designed in 1845 by Hermann Eidenbenz under the direction of Edouard Hoffman, this slab serif has a huge impact on the history of typography. It was designed around the time of the industrial revolution to create impact within designs and to offset the recently popular sans serif (or grotesque). Although it has been around for over 150 years, it still remains widely used today.

I guess it sums up my goals as a designer. Come in with a bang, and remain strong throughout. What’s your flavor?
